After Eight Years at KSTP, Mark Albert Leaves Without a Plan

By Kevin Eck

Mark Albert walked away from KSTP last week after his contract was up.

The reporter for Minneapolis ABC affiliate told TVSpy he doesn’t have a job lined up, but he wants to stay in the business, “My ultimate goal has always been to be a network White House correspondent. I’m passionate about news and politics and what better place to be than DC.”

For now, Albert said he plans on traveling first and then exploring is options. “In the short-term, perhaps I’ll try to freelance somewhere while I look for my next gig. I’d report overseas in a heartbeat, too.”
