After a Decade, Doug High Says Goodbye to Mornings on WTVQ

By Stephanie Tsoflias Siegel

Doug High is saying goodbye to Good Morning Kentucky—but not WTVQ entirely.

High is leaving the anchor desk after a decade to take on the role as director of the Kentucky Historical Society Foundation in Frankfort, Ky.

“Many of you know my long-standing passion for history and this was an amazing opportunity I simply couldn’t pass up,” he said in a Facebook post.

He called his time on the desk a “dream job.” “It has been an honor to delivery your morning news and a true privilege. The responsibility and trust you placed was never lost on me. Thank you.”

High will stay on as a fill in anchor helping with newscasts from time to time. His last day is March 14.
