After 55 Years in TV, Today is Dick Goddard’s Last Day

Dick Goddard says goodbye to WJW viewers today after 55 years on television.

He’s worked at the Cleveland Fox affiliate for 50 of those years.

Goddard announced his retirement in May. He learned he had an aptitude for meteorology while in the Air Force in the early 1950s and joined WJW in 1966.

Tonight’s 6 p.m. newscast on the Cleveland Fox affiliate will be Goddard’s last. Viewers can expect goodbyes from people like Al Roker from NBC’s Today Show and Cleveland funnyman Drew Carey.
