Veteran Monroe Anchor John Denison Leaving KNOE

By Merrill Knox

John Denison, a longtime anchor at Monroe CBS-affiliate KNOE, is leaving the station at the end of this month.

“I’ve been doing this a long time, but there are many things I want to do and can do while I’m able,” Denison told the News Star. “I’ve wanted to do some long-form writing, volunteering and travel, and that’s what I plan to do.”

Denison joined KNOE in 1981 and worked at the station for 11 years before joining rival KTVE. He rejoined KNOE in 2003 after a three-year sabbatical from television. His last broadcast will be February 29.
