After 3 Stations and 32 Years, Milwaukee Anchor Retires

Some might say that news anchor and reporter Mike Miller can’t keep a job. But the fact is, his career is a lesson in how talent keeps you afloat when circumstances capsize your canoe.

Twice fired–after 12 years at WITI-TV (Channel 6) and 13 years at WTMJ-TV (Channel 4)–he joined WISN-TV (Channel 12) in 2003 after “the quickest (transition) in television history.”

“I already knew I was coming to 12 and I told no one,” Miller said. And he had “taken everything out of my desk and was going to hop in my car and leave after the last show was over” at noon. More…
