WTTG vice president and news director Phil Metlin has announced his retirement from the Fox O&O in Washington, D.C.
“I feel blessed to have had the chance to associate with so many great journalists over the past two decades here at FOX. Looking back, I am in awe of the things we witnessed together,” Metlin told TVSpy in a statement. “Great work was produced and I’m proud of what we accomplished. I wish nothing but the best for all my colleagues throughout the company.”
Before joining WTTG in 2010, Metlin was news director at two other Fox owned stations, WTXF in Philadelphia and WTVT in Tampa.
“I would like to thank Phil for his 21 years of outstanding service and dedication to FTS,” WTTG vice president and general manager Patrick Paolini said. “He has been a valued member of our team and I’d like to wish him well in the next chapter of his life.”
