In an interview with the San Antonio Current, Sylvia Rincon admits eighteen years in local TV news is exhausting. “Well, quite honestly, I’m tired,” she said. “It’s a demanding job being a television reporter.”

After twelve years at San Antonio Fox affiliate KABB, Rincon has changed course–taking a communications job for a local school district. “This is a big change, [but] for our generation, I think it’s not unusual to have two or three big careers.”

If Rincon does ultimately decide to have a third big career, there’s a chance it will be politics. “I’ve talked about running for City Council or commissioner,” Rincon says. “It’s no secret.”
