ABC Anchor David Muir Comes Back to WCVB

By Kevin Eck

Before ascending to the the big chair at ABC World News Tonight, David Muir was a local anchor and reporter.

WCVB, one of the stations he worked for before going to ABC, brought him back to help promote the Boston ABC affiliate. Muir started at WCVB in 2000 and worked there until joining ABC News in 2003.

Last week, mediabistroTV sat down with Muir to ask about his first big break (look for it in the coming weeks). During the interview, he revealed his passion for reporting in the field and told us about a story that will air tonight on his show. Muir called them the “Lost Generation,” kids in Syria who have been forced to trade working in the classroom for working in the fields.
