In an interview last night with Megyn Kelly, Mike Huckabee explained his comments on women that some had misinterpreted as a slam on the “women of Fox News.” As Kelly pointed out, Huckabee never called the women of FNC “trashy.”
In the interview, which featured–for a time–video of a go-go dancing Goldie Hawn from “Laugh In–“Huckabee called the Politico story an “utterly fabricated lie” told Kelly on “The Kelly File” that he considered the women of FNC to be “lovely and delightful.”
Kelly, who famously called Huckabee “F–kabee” in a slip of the tongue, played the clip for her former Fox News colleague, who said “Megyn, you’re the only one who’s used that word in front of me at Fox like that.” Huckabee said in his experience, the women at Fox were nothing but “lovely and delightful.”
Are they really? Kelly cleared that up for the governor: “Well I do have some news for you before I let you go. We’re not only swearing. We’re drinking, we’re smoking, we’re having premarital sex with birth control before we go to work and sometimes boss around a bunch of men.”
“Oh, I just don’t want to hear that,” Huckabee said.
