The woman behind the latest sexting scandal related to New York City mayoral candidate Anthony Weiner is speaking out publicly. Sydney Leathers will give an “exclusive” TV interview to the CBS-produced syndicated newsmagazine “Inside Edition.”
The interview–conducted by chief correspondent Jim Moret–will air on tonight’s edition of the program.
“It literally disgusts me. It makes me feel physically ill,” Leathers says in the interview when asked about his press conference earlier this week. “I’ve barely been able to eat since all of this happened. I feel sick about it. I’m disgusted by him. He’s not who I thought he was”
A number of outlets were pursuing an interview with Leathers, a source familiar with the situation says. She is said to have been asking for a fee for the interview, likely tied to the licensing of photos or video. It is not immediately clear whether “Inside Edition” took her up on that offer.
