Will Smith, Storm & Chen Stay On ‘Early?’

Is Rene Syler‘s exit just the first in a series of Early Show host changes? That’s what the Philadelphia Inquirer suggests:

“As for the fate of coanchors Harry Smith, Hannah Storm and Julie Chen, ‘that’s still to be determined,’ a CBS rep says.” Update: 12:50pm: A CBS rep called to correct this item. “The network is still determining whether it will replace Syler on The Early Show. It’s incorrect to suggest Julie, Hannah, Harry, or Dave would be leaving,” the rep said.

Gail Shister writes: “Don’t be surprised if weekend Today’s Campbell Brown gets a call. She was not happy at being passed over for Today coanchor; her NBC contract is up in about nine months.”
