Will Geraldo (And His Ego) Stay At FNC?

By Brian

The NY Post wonders if Geraldo Rivera is going to stay with FNC. “It’s hard to be a show of record when you’re on weekends,” Geraldo told Atlantic Monthly magazine recently. “The problem with Fox and me is they’re wildly successfu. Where are you going to put me? Who are you going to knock out? Every single slot is filled. From 3 o’clock to 11 o’clock, they’ve got a hit show. Where would they put me? I don’t know … But wherever I go — I could go to the lamest cable network, I could go to Court TV, I could go to Trio, I could go to Bravo — make one up, and I know my show will do respectably against the competition. And I know that. And they know that In a sense, I’m like a franchise ball player at the end of my career.”

Rivera’s contract with FNC expires in November. The Post says his ideal job would be a “a daily news-related television/radio show, similar to the setup that Howard Stern has with the E! Network or Don Imus has with MSNBC.”
