Wikileaks Founder Julian Assange Getting His Own TV News Program

By Alex Weprin

The founder of Wikileaks, Julian Assange, will be getting his own TV news program on RT (formerly Russia Today). RT has ordered 10 episodes of the talk show, which it says will feature Assange interviewing “iconoclasts, visionaries and power insiders” from inside the home where he is currently serving house arrest in England.

No word yet on who Assange’s guests may be, or when the series will debut.

RT, which is backed by the Russian government, actually has more of a distribution foothold in the U.S. than many other foreign news outlets. It is available on DISH Network, and in some Time Warner Cable markets, among other places.
