This morning, GE honcho turned cable news mainstay Jack Welch was the guest host on CNBC’s Squawk Box. But Joe Kernen broke the news he preferred the other Welch.
Kernen: You were our second choice. (Suzy Welch) is busy, I guess.
Welch: She’s over on “Morning Joe.”
Kernen: I Know. “Morning Joe.” He’s been on two years and he’s Morning Joe. I’ve been on 13 and I’m chopped liver. That’s fine, Scarborough.
(PLAYING CRICKETS.)
Kernen: am I not the real morning Joe?
Welch: You are to me.
Kernen: Thank you. So tactful.
