The NYDaily News‘ Ben Widdicombe reports that 2007 cable news mainstay Larry Birkhead got some friends together to watch Barbara Walters‘ 10 Most Fascinating People special, because he apparently thought he was one of them.
“Larry had been approached by ABC to be one of the candidates, but unknown to him they didn’t use him,” says a snitch. “So when they released all the names except the top one — the most fascinating person that they were going to reveal on the show — he thought it was going to be him. That’s what he was telling people.”
