Which Newsers Were Invited to White House State Dinner?

Several TV news anchors and reporters were on the guest list for Tuesday night’s White House State Dinner honoring Matteo Renzi, the prime minister of Italy and his wife Agnese Landini.

NBC had the biggest crowd among the TV newsers including Savannah Guthrie and husband Michael Feldman, Chuck Todd and his wife Kristian, and Tamron Hall, accompanied by Jonathan Capehart. From CBS, Gayle King was on the guest list as was Bill Plante and 60 Minutes producer Maria Gavrilovic. ABC’s George Stephanopoulos and wife Ali Wentworth were also on the list.

Gwen Steffani was the entertainment. This was President and Mrs. Obama’s 13th and final State Dinner. Pres. George W. Bush hosted 11 dinners in his eight years as president, while Pres. Clinton hosted 28 such events. Pres. George. H. W. Bush hosted 24 dinners in his four years as president. Pres. Reagan hosted 52 State Dinners during his 8-year presidency.
