“Where In The World?” Ratings, Day Three

By Brian

Where will Matt Lauer end his “Where In The World?” journey? And how many viewers will tune in to find out? This morning he showed up in Shanghai, China.

On Monday, Today beat Good Morning America by 833,000 viewers. On Tuesday, the gap decreased a bit to 623,000. But on Wednesday, Today delivered about 6.5 million viewers, a 1.1 million advantage over GMA.

Last year, Today was routinely ahead by more than one million viewers. Will Matt’s travels translate to a real ratings bump, or just a temporary boost?
