When is Martin Bashir’s show going to debut?

By Chris Ariens

Martin Bashir who left ABC News for MSNBC last June is still waiting in the wings at the peacock cable network.

Bashir joined MSNBC in September. In November, Bob Morrissey who worked with Bashir at ABC, signed on to be EP of the show and it was thought the show would hit the air before the end of the year.

Now, we’ve learned the 3pmET program “will debut in the next several weeks.” That’s according to a top MSNBC source. That’s still a little vague, so if he’s not on the air by Feb. 7, then we’ll start to wonder. In the meantime, Thomas Roberts has been filling in at 3pm.

Bashir, who was at yesterday’s NBC News/MSNBC upfront, seated next to MSNBC executive editor Yvette Miley contributed to MSNBC during the royal engagement. He’s also signed on to work on stories for “Dateline.”
