Weather Channel Meteorologist’s Death Ruled a Suicide

The Fulton County Medical Examiner has ruled the death of Nick Wiltgen, senior digital meteorologist at the Weather Channel, a suicide.

Wiltgen, 39, died Sunday afternoon after he crashed his car into a wall inside a parking garage at the Colony Square Mall. An autopsy revealed Wiltgen died from major head and brain injury resulting from what the ME’s office says, was “an intentional act of driving a vehicle into/through the concrete wall of a parking deck. The cause of death is craniocerebral trauma and the manner of death has been classified as suicide.

The University of Nebraska–Lincoln graduate had been with the Weather Channel for 15 years.
