Watchup Adds Fusion, The Verge, Vox and AJ+

By Mark Joyella

blogWatchup, a video news app, has added some key millennial-focused content partners in Fusion, The Verge, Vox.com and AJ+. “With our mission to bring the power of global news to viewers on all of the most popular platforms our newest partners hit the content sweet spot our youthful users crave with distinct, irreverent and important voices that help them understand the world they live in,” said Watchup CEO Adriano Farano.

The additions bring Watchup’s collection of news partners to more than 100, including CNN, Fox News, Sky News, The Wall Street Journal and The Washington Post. The Watchup concept, essentially, is to give viewers a built-it-the-way-you-want it personal “newscast” that pulls video content from a variety of reliable sources–a kind of Pandora for video news. “We’re excited to have this new distribution tool to work with as we continue to grow our video content,” said Chad Mumm, vice president and creative director at Vox Media.
