Watch ‘Today’ On MSNBC.com

When NBC launched a Netcast of the Nightly News at the end of October, TVNewser said streaming versions of Meet the Press and The Today Show were on the way. MTP launched in December, and now the first hour of Today is streaming, too.

Beginning today, the first hour of America’s #1 morning show is available for free on MSNBC.com at 11 a.m., right after it airs on the West Coast, the network announced today.

It “will be supported by advertisements that viewers won’t be able to skip,” TV Week reports. The shows will be archived for a week.

The project has been led by VP of Digital Media Mark Lukasiewicz. “So far, the usership, the viewership is not massive” for netcasts, he said. But “we have gained a huge good will component from our users,” even if they don’t use the feature everyday…
