Wait, President Obama Said What??

By Alex Weprin

It was clearly a slip of the tongue, but during his press conference today President Obama stumbled over a word, with the result sounding a lot like the “S” word:

He was trying to say “bring annual domestic spending to its lowest share of the economy…” but it didn’t sound that way.

The presser is airing on the broadcast networks, and it is during the day, so it would fall under the jurisidiction of the FCC and its chairman, Julius Genachowski. Somehow we don’t think that President Obama will be getting hit with any fines, though.

What do you think? Did the president say what it sounded like he said?
