It seems like someone is trying to light a fire under the producers at Fox News. A source has sent length of tune data — showing “the amount of time a viewer watches a channel per hour” — for March vs. Feb 2007 to ICN Here are the changes from 9am to 4pm from February to March:
- FNC -1.4 minutes per hour
CNN -.09 minutes per hour
HLN -.05 minutes per hour
MSNBC +.14 minutes per hour
“FNC viewers still stay tuned in longer than its competitors’ viewers do but the network had the sharpest drop off for the month,” ICN notes. Higher length of tune leads to higher ratings, so any decline is worrisome…
