It’s a tough day for many employees of Vice Media, as the company has announced that it’s reorganizing and cutting roughly 250 jobs.
These changes, which include laying off roughly 10 percent of its workforce, will impact each department at every level.
A source tells TVNewser that the Emmy and Peabody Award-winning nightly newscast Vice News Tonight, which airs on HBO, will continue to air through the year.
However, there will be some staffing changes in the news division; the extent of which remains to be seen.
Vice Media will be investing even more resources in its digital news operation going forward, notably ViceNews.com.
Adweek media reporter Sara Jerde has more on the changes happening today at Vice.
