Based on Nielsen fast nationals, ABC’s Primetime was Tuesday’s most-watched news special about the Virginia Tech shootings.
The 10pm broadcast, anchored by Chris Cuomo in Blacksburg and Diane Sawyer in New York, averaged 11,344,000 total viewers and a 3.5/10 in the 18-49 demo. (It had a Dancing with the Stars lead-in.) A special edition of 48 Hours Mystery on CBS delivered 6,492,000 viewers and a 2.2/6 in the demo.
