Update: 9:48pm: ABC says fast national data is more accurate than time period data. According to the fast nationals, NBC was #1 with 10,340,000 viewers; ABC was second with 10,070,000; and CBS was third was 8,020,000. In the demo, NBC had a 2.9, ABC had a 2.6, and CBS had a 2.2.

Time period data released by Nielsen shows that NBC Nightly News beat ABC’s World News by 350,000 total viewers last night.

NBC had 10,182,000 viewers, while ABC had 9,833,000. Incredibly, the CBS Evening News, with Katie Couric in Blacksburg, delivered just 7,447,000 viewers.

In the 25-54 demo, NBC had a 2.8, while ABC had a 2.6 and CBS had a 2.2…
