“Good Morning America,” the nation’s No. 1 morning show, is losing two top producers.
Senior broadcast producer and newlywed Denise Rehrig is taking a leave of absence for a year. She’s spent the last 8 years at “GMA” (and won’t miss the 3am wake-up). Before ABC, Rehrig spent 8 years with CNBC.
Also departing: Rich McHugh, who has been with “GMA” for 9 years. TVNewser has learned McHugh is joining NBC News where he will be a producer in the investigations unit. McHugh previously worked at MSNBC’s “Scarborough Country” and, from 2002-2004, was a producer for Fox News Channel’s “O’Reilly Factor.”
