Tucker Carlson to Get Fox News 7 P.M. Show

By Chris Ariens

Tucker Carlson, who currently co-hosts Fox & Friends Weekend, has been tapped to take over the 7 p.m. ET timeslot, according to the Los Angeles Times.

TVNewser hears Brit Hume, who took over the timeslot following the abrupt departure of Greta Van Susteren last month, will host the show through election day and Carlson will take over the following Monday.

No word on who will take over for Carlson on Fox & Friends.

This is a return to nightly TV for Carlson who hosted two programs on MSNBC in the mid-2000s. Check out this TVNewser story to see who was sitting on the set the night The Situation premiered in June, 2005. Hint: it’s Rachel Maddow.

Carlson spent 5 years at CNN in the early 2000s before joining MSNBC in 2005. He jumped to Fox News in 2009.
