In the latest interview for mediabistro.com’s “So What Do You Do” series, FishbowlDC’s Betsy Rothstein talks to Tucker Carlson who responds to a range of topics varying from his Daily Caller venture to his future in cable news. Here’s an excerpt:

You worked on CNN’s Crossfire back in the day. What do you think of debate programs generally, and what do you think about CNN’s new program with Eliot Spitzer and Kathleen Parker — do you think it’ll work?

I think it’s great. I like debate programs. There aren’t any left — it’s all single hosts giving their opinions. Yeah, I think [Spitzer] will be good. He’ll be better than he was as attorney general or governor. It’s the definition of stunt casting. I don’t know what else you’re going to do if you’re CNN.
