The International Rescue Committee will present its Freedom Award to NBC Newsman Tom Brokaw and his family in recognition of their service to humanitarian causes.

Tom and Meredith Brokaw and their daughters, Jennifer Brokaw, Andrea Brokaw Simon, and Sarah Brokaw, will receive the award at the IRC’s annual Freedom Award Benefit Dinner at Wednesday at the Waldorf Astoria in New York City.

“The Brokaw family’s respective individual efforts have been a sustained force for good in aiding some of the world’s most vulnerable people — from survivors of war and displacement to those left homeless by natural disasters,” says George Rupp, IRC President.
