Juanita Ramsey, of Crown Point, Indiana, wrote USA Weekend‘s Who’s News column to ask, “How many weeks of vacation do Today show hosts get? Matt Lauer seems to be on vacation once a month, and Meredith Vieira has been off plenty since she got the job.”
The reply? “Reps from NBC won’t say,” writes Lorrie Lynch. “…But on her ‘Today’ show blog, Vieira is pretty open about her time away. Since she began the blog in October 2006, she has penciled in about 28 days of vacation time (yes, we counted). Given their years with the network, Al Roker, Ann Curry and Lauer probably get the same, if not more, time off.”
