The Today show is sending four U.K.-based foodies around the U.S. to educate them on American food. The SORTEDfood interactive tour kicks off on April 23. Today will follow the group as they travel across the country and fans have the opportunity to tell them where to go, and what to eat, via social media using #LostAndHungry.
“We’re incredibly excited to get people involved on a local level and see where they lead SORTEDFood. What’s better than having thousands of friends–who are experts in their region– giving us their restaurant recommendations? ” Today food editor and producer Vidya Rao told TVNewser. “It’s a unique opportunity for us to showcase the culinary diversity of America and meet some down home characters who deserve the spotlight for shaping the real American food landscape.”
