TVNewser has learned that Tammy Filler has been promoted to executive producer for the 10 a.m. hour of the Today show, hosted by Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb.

Filler, a 15-year veteran of Today, had most recently been a co-ep on the program.

Here’s the internal memo NBC News president Noah Oppenheim sent to staff earlier today:

I’m pleased to share that Tammy Filler has been promoted to EP for the 10am hour of Today. Tammy has been with Today for nearly 15 years and worked her way from producer to co-EP. Her drive, passion and creativity have served her well as she expanded her responsibilities. When Tammy took the reins, the fourth hour posted the most year-to-year growth of any morning or daytime program, and just recently, for the first time ever, it topped its competition in the demo for a full year. The 10am hour is a key part of Today’s success and I’m confident under Tammy’s continued leadership it will go from strength to strength. Tammy will continue to report to me.

Please join me in congratulating Tammy on her well-deserved promotion.

Noah
