‘Today’ Remembers Studio 1A Before Renovation

By Alex Weprin

Today is the last day in the current Studio 1A for the NBC “Today” team. As we reported last week, the show will originate from Rockefeller Plaza over the next few weeks, before unveiling the new set on September 9. Some pieces of the current set will be sent to the Newseum in Washington DC for display.

This morning, “Today” ran a retrospective on the last seven years of the studio. Though, as a few viewers noted on Twitter, while Matt Lauer, Savannah Guthrie and even Meredith Vieira were featured multiple times, Ann Curry was shown only briefly in a cutaway.
