Last week, NBC’s Today Show “had its best advantage over the competition in six weeks, averaging 675,000 viewers more than second place Good Morning America, this press release says.

For the week of Oct. 17, Today averaged 5.7 million viewers, while GMA had 5.1 and CBS had 2.8.

ABC’s headlines tell a different story: “GMA slashes NBC lead by 40% compared to same time last year. GMA gains strong 5% in both total viewers and adults 25-54 while NBC and CBS slide. NBC plummets 11% in adults 25-54 vs. same time last year.”
