For February, Today and GMA Split the Morning Show Ratings Race

By A.J. Katz

In the mornings, ABC’s Good Morning America was the most-watched show during February 2019 Sweep, marking its 6th win in the last 7 February Sweeps (among total viewers) – since February 2013. The program finished No. 2 across the board last February, which was an Olympics month for NBC, an event that traditionally helps Today show’s ratings.

Versus February 2018 Sweeps period, GMA was flat in total viewers, but -7 percent among adults 25-54.

NBC’s Today was the top morning show among adults 25-54 for the 15th consecutive Sweeps period. Its Feb. 2019 win marked the legendary morning show’s fourth straight February sweep demo win and its 24th February in the last 26 years.

CBS This Morning was -4 percent in total viewers, and -4 percent among adults 25-54 vs. what it delivered during the Feb. 2018 Sweeps period.
