The cable news scare tactics are working: 22 percent of poll participants believe terrorists live in their neighborhood.

Earlier today, it was up to 31 percent, according to Bill Robinson at the Huffington Post. (As of 1am Monday, the QuickVote had only recorded 597 responses.)

“Granted, this is ‘not a scientific poll,'” he writes, “but it is the one and only poll you’ll see on the webpage of CNN drag queen Nancy Grace. And if there’s one thing the doyenne of nostril-flaring stands for, it’s using the idiocy of your fellow Americans to scare the hell out of you…”
