President Trump told AP’s Julie Pace last month that he no longer watches CNN. But the president seems to be fully aware of how the network has been covering him in light of his controversial decision to fire FBI Director James Comey yesterday. The firing comes amid the agency’s investigation into his administration’s relationship with the Kremlin.
The president pushed out a half dozen tweets this morning about his decision, as well as going after a Connecticut Senator and CNN.
The CNN tweet was a response to chief political analyst Gloria Borger‘s report this morning that Trump’s longtime friend and former adviser Roger Stone “was among those who recommended to President Trump that he fire James Comey.”
The Roger Stone report on @CNN is false – Fake News. Have not spoken to Roger in a long time – had nothing to do with my decision.

Stone appeared on The David Webb Show on SiriusXM Patriot Ch. 125 this past Friday, and said he had spoken to the president “less than a week ago.”
Stone’s response to the president’s tweet about the CNN report?
I am not the source of Politico/ CNN stories claiming I urged @realDonaldTrump 2 fire Comey. Never made such claim. I support decision 100%

The president also decided to attack Sen. Richard Blumenthal of Connecticut earlier this morning, a man who appeared on CNN and MSNBC programs last night and this morning, and who will likely continue to make appearances throughout the day. Let’s just say he’s not pleased with the Democratic senator’s comments.

caught, he cried like a baby and begged for forgiveness…and now he is judge & jury. He should be the one who is investigated for his acts.

In addition, Counselor to the President Kellyanne Conway appeared on AC360 last night, her first appearance on CNN in a while, which elicited an eye roll from Anderson Cooper.
