The O’Reilly Factor was the most-watched cable news program for the 188th consecutive month, though its margin of victory wasn’t necessarily as commanding as usual. The Kelly File had a great month in its own right, finishing July as the No. 2 program in total viewers, followed by Hannity, Special Report with Bret Baier and The Five. Fox News had the top 11 cable news programs for July in total viewers.

The Kelly File was the No. 1 cable news program of the month among A25-54, followed by Hannity,  O’Reilly, CNN’s Anderson Cooper 360 and FNC’s On the Record with Greta Van Susteren rounding out the top five.

The aforementioned AC 360 was CNN’s top program of the month both in total viewers (No. 12) and the news demo (No. 4). Erin Burnett OutFront was CNN’s No. 2 show of the month in both categories. The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer finished No. 3 in total viewers for CNN, but CNN Tonight with Don Lemon finished No. 3 in the news demo.
