> We’re told that Morley Safer’s interview with Ted Turner includes a discussion of his “feud” with Rupert Murdoch. Let’s see if it makes it into the final cut of tonight’s piece on 60 Minutes.

> Four weeks after being kidnapped in Kabul, a CBC journalist has been freed from her captors. Melissa Fung was taken Oct. 12 and was kept blindfolded in a cave. Reporters for Western news outlets in Afghanistan were aware of Fung’s abduction, but the CBC requested her case not be publicized while officials negotiated her release.

> Fox News Channel correspondent Catherine Herridge brought her two sons into the DC newsroom Friday night. Toddler Peter is getting around like most two-year-olds. At six months old, Peter underwent surgery during which Herridge donated part of her liver to her son. Greta Van Susteren whipped out the video camera and gives us a look:
