The Ticker: Guthrie, ‘World News,’ Brzezinski

  • As promised, Savannah Guthrie signed off from “Today” this morning to start her maternity leave. “It’s been so fun, it’s such a surreal thing to go through it on TV like this … it has gone fast and I’ve been so lucky, I haven’t felt bad or anything, mostly,” she said.

  • Reporting on the death of Maj. Gen. Harold J. Greene, “ABC World News” aired an incorrect animation that showed the general in a conference room, and not outside, at the time of the shooting. “While the underlying reporting was solid, a graphic later proved to be inaccurate. We regret the mistake,” an ABC News spokesperson told the Daily News.
