- Following their wedding last week in New York City, ABC’s Sam Champion and Rubem Robierb are now having a second ceremony in Miami Beach. MSNBC anchor Thomas Roberts will officiate the New Year’s Eve event. It was at Roberts’ wedding in September that Champion announced his nuptials.
- Veteran CBS News director Eric Shapiro will receive the DGA Lifetime Achievement award in February. Shapiro, who has been with CBS News since 1978, has been behind the look and design of most CBS News programs including “Sunday Morning,” “Face the Nation,” “48 Hours,” and “Evening News.”

- PageSix reports Brian Williams may be distancing himself from “Rock Center” and that other anchors may soon start filling in. But a source close to the show said, “Brian is and remains the anchor. His name stays in the title — [there are] no other anchors.” The show moves to its new Friday timeslot in February.
