As decision 2016 nears the finish line, network news bosses are finding ways to thank the campaign correspondents who’ve spent the last year or more on the road.

Last night in Las Vegas, ahead of tonight’s final presidential debate, NBC News president Deborah Turness hosted a dinner at Tao at The Venetian toasting the work of NBC’s intrepid campaign correspondents.

In attendance: Andrea Mitchell, Hallie Jackson, Jacob Soboroff, Katy Tur, Chris Jansing, Kelly O’Donnell, Kristen Welker, (in photo, during Today show hit) and Kasie Hunt, as well as politics managing editor Dafna Linzer. The group also celebrated Mitchell’s upcoming birthday, Oct. 30, and surprised her with a cake. “We loved paying tribute to her,” Welker said. New dad Soboroff showed off baby pictures while Jackson, among the MSNBC Road Warriors called it a “super fun pit stop.”
