  • Former CBS “Early Show” EP Zev Shalev has joined WPIX in New York. Shalev will EP the 5-hour morning show at the CW affiliate. Shalev was hired by WPIX news director and former MSNBC VP Mark Effron.

  • Chris Matthews’ latest book, “Tip and the Gipper” comes out Tuesday. The 448-pager delves into the relationship between ideological opposites Pres. Ronald Reagan and House Speaker Tip O’Neill. Matthews was an aide to O’Neill for 6 years.
