> The ratings for Black in America 2 were off last year’s premiere. B&C reports night one saw a boost from Pres. Obama’s news conference drawing 1.99M Total Viewers, but down 6% from last year. Night two on Thursday drew 1.41M Total Viewers compared to 2.565 million last year, down 45%. Still, it was the highest rated doc of the year on cable news.
> A tribute site has been set up in memory of Rebecca Lipkin, a former ABC News producer who died last week of inflammatory breast cancer. The 48-year-old Lipkin moved to London earlier in the decade working out of ABC’s London bureau. She would join Al Jazeera English in 2005 as director of programs.
