Another prominent journalist has lost his job after an investigation into allegations of sexual misconduct.
The New Yorker has released a statement that they had severed ties with Washington correspondent Ryan Lizza for engaging in “improper sexual conduct.”
Here’s the magazine’s statement:
Statement from @newyorker: “The New Yorker recently learned that Ryan Lizza engaged in what we believe was improper sexual conduct. We have reviewed the matter and, as a result, have severed ties with Lizza. Due to a request for privacy, we are not commenting further.”

Lizza put out a separate statement to Politico:

He is also a CNN political analyst, and a CNN spokesperson tells TVNewser: “We have just learned of the New Yorker’s decision. Ryan Lizza will not appear on CNN while we look into this matter.”

In July, Lizza made huge headlines as the man who published his conversation with former White House comms director Anthony Scaramucci, who went into a lengthy, profanity-laced tirade about Steve Bannon, Reince Priebus. Scaramucci, who thought the conversation was off-the-record, lost his job not long after Lizza’s story for The New Yorker was published.
Now Lizza is out of a job.
