The Morning Ticker: More ‘Sunday,’ Less LeBron, Celebrating Ann

  • Smithsonian Channel will begin re-airing “CBS Sunday Morning” Sundays at 2pmET, after the program has cleared CBS affiliates. The network will also re-air the show up to four times later in the week. Smithsonian Channel is co-owned by CBS Corp. and the Smithsonian Institute.

  • Rachel Nichols gets the first extensive interview with LeBron James since returning to the Cleveland Cavaliers, airing tomorrow on CNN. James talks about his extreme weight loss and how he did it: “No carbs, no sugar, no dairy, no refined sugar… Meat. Fish. Veggies. Fruit.”

  • ABC’s Ann Compton was feted last night at the Newseum for her 41 years of service to ABC News. ABC VP of public affairs Robin Sproul threw the bash which was attended by dozens of ABCNewsers including a host of executives and former “World News” anchor Charles Gibson.
