CBS’s Jan Crawford got the first interview with Brittany Maynard, the terminally ill Oregon woman who has chosen physician-assisted suicide rather than the painful end her cancer portends. Maynard says she doesn’t want to die. “If anyone wants to hand me a magical cure… I’ll take them up on it,” she says.
Yahoo’s Katie Couric sat down with Susan Mellen who was recently released from prison after 17 years. Mellen was convicted of the murder of Rick Daly, a transient man she once dated. A Los Angeles Superior Court judge threw out the conviction last week.
