  • Yahoo! Global News Anchor Katie Couric made her debut Monday, interviewing former Defense Secretary Robert Gates. Couric tells Politico, “It almost feels like a start-up, but with a very established distribution platform. So it’s the best of both worlds.”

  • Msnbc.com has launched “Women of 2014,” a destination for coverage of women candidates and women’s issues. The series features reporting on candidates from all political parties as well as the rising stars behind the scenes.

  • ABC has canceled the ABC News-produced primetime drama, “The Assets”. The mini-series was to have run for 8 episodes, but was canceled Saturday after two lackluster airings. Friday’s episode drew 2.9 million viewers and a 0.6 rating in the A18-49 demo.
