  • Venezuela’s President is threatening legal action against CNN en Espanol, among other news outlets, for spreading what he said were false health rumors. Nicolas Maduro has ordered an investigation into coverage of a possible outbreak of a tropical disease.
  • Secretary of State John Kerry sits down with MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” today as the U.N. General Assembly begins in New York. Secretary Kerry will be live in studio at 7:30am to discuss Iraq, Syria, and how to handle ISIS.

  • There won’t be a “Meet the Press” next Sunday because of the Ryder Cup, but on yesterday’s show Chuck Todd announced, “With a bit of luck, we’re going to have a shiny new set,” when the show returns Oct. 5.
